  • Electrical Engineer - Senior (RF)

    Canastota, NY

    • Position Title : Electrical Engineer Senior (RF)
    • Employment Type: Full-Time

    The Job:

    NEID Inc. prides itself on pushing the technology “envelope” and delivering rapid, unique capabilities to customers operating in unusual and contested environments. The key to our success is largely dependent on the ability of our employees to deliver results. Use your signal processing and coding know-how to develop advanced signal and data processing algorithms, integrate COTS products into solutions, field test RF sensors and systems, and help solve interference problems across multiple platforms.

    You will excel in this role if you have:

    • A passion for innovation in signal detection and finding solutions to EMI/EMC challenges.
    • A problem-solving nature.
    • The ability to change directions and work on the fly.

    What we expect from you, i.e., your qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline and 10+ years of experience in that field. Master’s degree with 9+ years of experience.
    • Strong background in RF signal detection and experience with Electromagnetic Interference/Compatibility (EMI/EMC).
    • Experience with antenna array design.
    • Experience with digital signal processing (DSP) and communication systems.
    • Experience with numerical computing packages such as MATLAB.
    • Experience with algorithm design and development.
    • Competent with RF test equipment such as signal generators, signal analyzers, vector network analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, amplifiers, etc.
    • Ability to lead small to medium-sized teams.
    • Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
    U.S. citizenship is required.

    Nice to haves:

    • Experience with software-defined radio (SDR) frameworks such as GNU Radio and REDHAWK.
